Happy New Year! How has 2013 been so far? I guess it is okay for now, but I have been having really bizarre dreams. The first one, I was in a hospital visiting someone and a nurse called me "overweight", when I looked into the mirror I really was. The next one, I woke up from a nose job. Another one, my nephew, Ryan whom I raised, was dressed as a girl which was really adorable since he has such a pretty face but he thought I was a stranger, it was so heartbreaking. The one I had last night, I was in a castle on a quest to find an item using magic and a sword to fight off My Little Pony monsters. One of the pony's powers was called "Rainbow Blast". I swear I never watched My Little Pony and I have no idea where all of that came from.
On New Years Eve I spent it with Nat watching Les Miserables. She called me at 12pm the moment I woke up and told me she was on the way to pick me up. Since I was in a rush I did not wear any makeup so I did not take any pictures that day. The movie was really nice, the actors portrayed the characters really well especially Hugh Jackman as Jean Valjean, and so was Russell Crowe as Javert. Helena Bonham Carter and Sacha Baron Cohen made the Thernadiers such hilarious characters when I actually hate the Thernadiers in the book. Anne Hathaway was brilliant as Fantine and she brought such strong emotions into the character that her death scene was the most heartbreaking scene in the movie in my opinion. For those who have not read the book, the plot will be a little confusing since they just breeze through the scenes without going into special detail about each scene which is understandable. The movie would need to be twice as long if they were to go into each scene in detail. Also, this movie will not be for those who cannot stand musicals since the dialogue is entirely in song but it is worth a go.
What pissed me off during the movie was this group of Malay rednecks who kept laughing at the sad scenes, I wanted to throw a brick at them! If you cannot appreciate a good movie and cannot respect the people who are enjoying it, please do not even bother buying a ticket to watch the movie. All of you who are like that, I give you the middle finger and a spit on the face! Thank goodness no one brought a kid into the movie theater, I cannot stand parents who bring their little children to watch PG13 and above movies.
I also bought my first ever bottle of OPI nail polish. The color is in Austin-Tatious Turquoise. I am so in love with this color!
It is a metallic blue color with plenty of little green flex in it. Depending on the lighting it will look either blue or green and sometimes a little indigo.
Such a unique color it is! I thought it would be such a shame to draw anything over the color since it is just so gorgeous!
It also matches my pale complexion really well! I also painted my mom's toenails this color. The nail polish is sheer so a minimum of 3 coats is needed but I did 5 coats on my nails since I wanted the color to be really opaque.
Also did some New Year shopping, finally found a pair of flats cute enough for me to want. The reason why I never owned a pair of flats is because I never found any that were cute enough, but I finally found them! No pictures for now, sorry!
Are you not glad that the world did not end? In your face scientists! 2012 was both a shitty yet eventful year for me.
First, I got a serious injury the beginning of last year. My left knee dislocated by itself when I was walking down the stairs in school. It resulted in the ligaments getting torn and internal bleeding, so I could not walk for three days until I went to see the surgeon who used a needle to squeeze out the blood clotted in my knee. Then I resumed school and got bullied by the rednecks who said I was pretending to be in pain. At the end of March I experienced surgery for the first time.
After three months I went back to school and resumed my studies, I caught up with the lessons pretty quickly. I also had to rush with my Art assignment but I managed to finish it within two weeks. I could have done better if I had more time but I thought whatever.
I then revived this blog of mine and deleted all of my old posts. After SPM trials I skipped school for a month before SPM started. I am now no longer a secondary school student. I had been waiting for this moment for so long and now that I am here, I am quite lost as to what to do now. It was a miracle that I did not get expelled for skipping so much school on my last year.
My brother also got married but he has not changed one bit. Got my Facebook page hacked and lost Tokio Hotel in Malaysia. I also cosplayed for the first time in my life and even went to Comic Fiesta for the first time ever.
Overall 2012 was filled with unforgettable experiences, good and bad. I also stayed in the hospital quite a lot that year. I do remember that before my injury, I read in a Feng Shui magazine that I would have plenty of health problems in 2012.
I do hope that 2013 will be a good year for me! And also for everyone else. Right now, the only resolution I have is to get my driving license.
