Pierce The Veil and Sleeping With Sirens LIVE in Kuala Lumpur

Before I start off the post about the gig I would like to announce that the Cosplay Fight Video is FINALLY OUT! Here it is!

For first timers we all did pretty good I must say, although some parts were less than good. My favorite was the light saber scene and the dialogue between Yuki and Korra.

Moving on, the gig happened on the 17th February, the very same day as Paramore's 2nd LIVE in Kuala Lumpur. Coincidentally the venue for the gig, Stadium Chin Woo was right next to Stadium Negara where Paramore was playing. I decided not to catch Paramore this time due to several reasons. Mainly because their tickets were way overpriced and I have already watched them once back in 2010. Plus I am not a huge fan of their newer songs.

At 4pm my mom dropped me off at the slope leading up to the entrance. I met up with Kevin after two long years of not seeing each other while waiting for Reira. Turns out her first taxi driver dropped her off at Stadium Negara and she got lost while searching for the venue. We were anxious about the amount of people in the line so we decided to go up to the entrance to wait for her instead. After taking another taxi, she finally made it and we were together at last. Turns out there was no line and people were scattered around the parking lot.

At 6pm Kevin went off to meet up with his group of friends. Reira and I decided to crowd in front of the doors along with everyone else since it was already time for the doors to open. Unfortunately, the organizers told us to get back out and while backing out everyone was chanting "asshole" at them.

This was the crowd in front of me outside the entrance after backing out.

And this was the crowd behind me after backing out. After half an hour of waiting they decided to let us back in in front of the doors.

It took us a while there to finally get in. So while waiting I decided to take a few pictures.

That's the ticket in my hand in case you were wondering. The moment we passed through those doors we ran straight to the front while the first opening act, Massacre Conspiracy was playing.

They were pretty good. Up next was The Padangs, they were really good and they were cute too. I did not take a picture of them playing due to being distracted by their awesomeness.

After that, Scarlet Heroes, they were okay. Right after their performance I met Reira's sister, Aida for the very first time.

It was such a pleasure meeting her. While the MCs were talking there were these crazy guys standing next to us shouting the most random things at them. So Reira and I decided to join in as well.

The guy next to me in the picture, I think his name is Syafiq, managed to get up on stage right before SWS left and even got a shout out from Kellin Quinn. Me and Reira are still kicking ourselves for not sticking with them throughout the night.

Right before PTV came out me, Reira and Aida decided to go further front. Unfortunately, the moment they were up the moshing turned into pushing. We were being pushed to the front, left, right and back while trying hard not to fall down. A while later we managed to get out and to the back.

This was how far we got from the stage, only a few meters away from the "push pit" as I would call it. The first song they played was Hell Above, which I managed to take a short video of.

The shaky part was when I was headbanging. After that I was too busy enjoying the show.

I did manage to take this pretty clear picture of Vic Fuentes though. From what I can remember they played "Hell Above", "Disasterology", "Stay Away From My Friends", "Bulls In The Bronx", "Bulletproof Love", "Caraphernelia", "A Match Into Water", "Chemical Kids and Mechanical Brides" and definitely "King For A Day". Everyone went crazy on that one. After they were done it was time for a break.

I think a few people left during the break but not many. I also got to know one of Aida's friends, Dexter.

Turns out he was in an accident the day before and his chin was busted up. Also it was my first time meeting someone with gauges in their ears. He is pretty hilarious.

Soon enough, SWS came up.

The four of us were standing right next to the sound people throughout the rest of the show.

Took this picture myself at the beginning of their performance. Kellin is just to die for.

Aida also helped me take this really clear picture of Kellin Quinn. I have heard most the songs from SWS but I have forgotten about them. However, I do remember "If You Can't Hang" and "If I'm James Dean You're Audrey Hepburn" which are also my favorite songs and they did play them that night. Everyone went crazy when they were playing those two songs, especially "If I'm James Dean You're Audrey Hepburn" since it was the last song for the night. The gig ended at 11pm.

After the entire gig I met up with Kevin again and parted with Reira and everyone else. We got ourselves some drinks and walked to the LRT station. Sadly it was already closed so we took a taxi to Jusco Maluri and parted ways.

The moment I got home I raved about the gig on Facebook and hopped into the shower.

This is what was left of my ticket which has been added to my mementos collection. It was definitely an epic night. The next three days my neck and shoulders were killing me but it was all worth it.
