Starting Over

Hello dear readers,

It's been ages since I've written anything and a lot of you have probably forgotten about me already. To summarize, I've been distracted.

I've been having a lot of personal struggles keeping up with life. I haven't been a very chipper person since the last time I wrote anything. But honestly I miss blogging. I miss writing my thoughts out.

So I'm going to restart everything. In a week I'm going to delete a lot of my old posts and change the domain name. Why? I've changed quite a bit since the last time I shared anything here.

First of all, I've changed my online persona to Leeca Porcelaine. It just represents me more right now. I'm also going to go a little less detailed into my personal life from now on. Perhaps in time that might change but I just don't feel like opening up too much anymore. You can follow me on my Instagram and Facebook to keep up with my life more frequently instead. Announcement of the new domain name will be there too.

To recap, I graduated from Diploma and am already in the last year of my Degree at a different institute. My hair is still pink, just a more purple tone now and I'm keeping it at a medium length cause I've gotten tired of the mermaid long length. I've been through some crazy things, hopefully I can get myself to write about some of them. I'm currently at that point in life where I have to take things more seriously, but I'm still at a loss at what to do for my future.

How I look like recently
To the ones who've been supporting me since the last update, thank you. I hope you keep continuing the support and keep up with what's to come. I'm sorry for being MIA. I still don't know how to properly express my thoughts and do proper endings so please bear with me.

I'll be starting a segment here called Night Rambles where I will talk about more personal feelings and thoughts. Feel free to close the tab if you're not interested. Anyways, I'm excited to share more and I hope you are too.

Thank you~

Life Updates (My Own Car, Assignments, Photo Shoot, etc.)

For the past 3 months I have been incredibly busy hence zero updates over here. I had to concentrate on a charity campaign called Project Dream that was an assignment for my Advertising class and immediately right after I had a bunch of assignment deadlines to rush for. I am right now in the middle of my finals, just 2 more papers and I'll be on my semester break. Seeing as that I am free for now I figured I should write about what happened in between the past three months while I was busy.

First up, I went from hot pink to a cool toned fuschia. I also got rid of some of the length.

I went to Penang to attend my cousin's wedding. Somewhere along the line while I was there I got a pretty bad tummy ache but it went away the day after. I had a wonderful time in Penang and I hope to visit again next time.

I even got a car. YES, MY VERY OWN CAR sponsored by my dearly beloved Mommy of course. I don't have a picture of my car cause I'm too lazy to take one. Actually there is one on my Mom's phone but I'm too lazy to transfer it. So here's a picture that I stolen off Google.

Got it in red because I think red is the most gorgeous color ever.

Attended CosMart but all I did was shop. I did bump into some friends but I was more interested in shopping instead of socializing. Did get some goodies but not that many.

KDU Project Dream was a success! I will be dedicating an entire post to it once I'm finished with finals. For now here is my "promo pic" that was made compulsory to have by our dear lecturer.

Immediately after Project Dream I had to film a "ghost movie" with some friends for our final IT assignment. Took us 2 days of filming and took me 2 days of editing to finish it. Finally here's the finished product.

The story is called "ANNA" and it's about a girl who's been having nightmares. Eventually the nightmares take a toll on her sanity and she goes crazy. Somehow the story randomly came into my head when I thought about making this horror film a psychological one. I guess I was somewhat inspired by certain horror games that I have been watching my favorite Youtubers play. For amateurs I think we did a pretty good job, although I do think the camera angles could use a little more improvement than everything else.

Moving on, I did a photo shoot with my dear friend, Sara-Jane. She used me as a model for her final Photo Comm assignment. I really liked some of the shots she took so I used them for my new Facebook cover and profile photo.

I -might- dedicate a different post just for the pictures she took. She has so much talent I really wish her all the best in following her photography dreams!

Other than that, this semester's finals have started. A day before our first subject's exam I had a group presentation and while preparing for it, my wallet went missing. I only realized it was gone after the presentation. My IC, driver's license, membership cards, mementos and even Comic Fiesta tickets were in there!

But fret not because the very next day someone returned it to me. I have no idea who took it or where they found it, I am just so glad that everything is in tact, except for my money of course but I only had RM7 in there so it's no big deal.

I am also currently sick but I am starting to feel better. I slept through the entire day yesterday yet I still feel tired. I guess that is all I have for now. Until next time!

C2AGE SLAM Malaysia 2013

On the 8th and 9th of June, there was an ACG event held at HELP College of Arts and Technology called C2AGE. This post is like over a month late due to procrastination and assignment rushing. I still have 3 more essays I have to write for my Malaysian Studies portfolio but it can wait for a bit. I do apologize for the super long delay. A lot of people are probably not interested anymore but I am still going to post this anyway.

DAY 1
Got to the venue at around 10am and the ticket line was really long. I got my ticket early so I did not have to line up but I did not get in the venue until 1pm. Reason was, I was waiting for Reira to pass me my costume and she got lost on the way. I just hung out at the mall behind the college By the way, in case none of you knew who I was during the event, I was a genderbend version of Luigi with a mustache and pink hair.

The first person I met up with was Chris AKA Tea Barrel. I did his makeup for him. This picture was taken after Reira finally arrived with my costume.

Here is the lovely Reira as Panty from Stocking and Panty with Garterbelt and the gorgeous Alisa. So glad I could see Alisa again since I have not seen her in such a long time! She is GORGEOUS.

Afiqah was Kushina Anna from K Project. Emir AKA Hipster Boy was there to bum around.

Jason was Spawn. He brought his sister along, she was Lili from Tekken but I did not get to take a picture with her because I forgot.

Also got to see Shiro as Kogami from Psycho Pass!

At 1pm I went into the main venue with Afiqah, Alisa and Emir.

TADA! The first person I took a picture with when I got in was Mario! He even had the mushroom!

I also got to see the bishie brothers, Zu and Xie as Munakata and Fushimi. They still remember me from Animax Carnival and we got to talk for a bit.

The infamous and sweet Momo!

The awesome Neo as Predator. Damn his costume is so detailed.

Also got to meet with Rin, Kakera and their friend as Gakupo, Kaito and Len. They are all so kakkoi!

Rin and I exchanging hats. Her hat was big and heavy.

Camho with Anna.

Anna found Mikoto!

There are two Annas.

Anna with this SUPER CUTE Pikachu cosplayer! He is so nice!

Met with Ruui who was Hideyoshi from Baka and Test. He is so bishie!

Kushina Anna and a hot Shin from Amnesia.

After a while of loitering around we went back to the mall behind the college. Reunited with Nat.

Nat as Taokaka, and we found Martin as Black Made.

Jason transformed into Freddy Kreuger. He managed to scare some little kids.

Female Taokaka and male Taokaka. Cute right?

Ezzy was Vincent Valentine. He is so cool!

Avengelion cosplayers. Wow they are so pretty.

Ukyo from Amnesia! Gah this guy is so tall!

Made a new friend, Aira who was Azure Kite from .Hack// Goodness I miss that series. They used to play it on Animax back when it was still good.

Really cool Magi cosplayers. The Kougyoku Ren's Djinn weapon is damn nice!

Also got to meet up Kevin, a senior of mine in the anime club from my college. He was Kaito and his friend was green Kaito.

Reira is happy with her Mario hat. Jeffrey is in the background.

DAY 2
Went to the venue with Nat and Jeffrey as our drvier. We arrived at the same time as Ezzy and Reira.

Luigi and Mario genderbend. Reira lost her mustache so she had to make one out of cardboard.

Group picture of the four of us. Ezzy was Kakashi as usual.

Really cool Kakashi with shades on.

Also met up with our dear friend, Forat.

Candid shot of me talking with Raika and Rin out of cosplay.

Raika as Gakupo Matryoshka ver.

Jeffrey took a picture of Mario and I getting our picture taken. Picception.

It's Grell!

Military dudes with their guns.

While Mario and I were on the way to the actual venue we met up with Ash AKA the infamous Jack Frost from Animax Carnival. He is so nice!

Also his twin brother, Iqi. Dude is kewl.

Mario and I went to the photo studio they set up inside the college. We spent a whole hour there waiting to get our pictures.

Met up with Darren from the same course as me in college. He cosplayed as White Mage from one of the Final Fantasy series. Love his Chocobo!

Also met up with Kevin again!

At the Batman booth they set up. They has so many awesome figures there!

They even had this Arkham City building!

Joker was there too but he went missing after a while. Boohoo!

When we walked out of the Batman section we walked into this super adorable Aria.

Then there were these Pokemon cosplayers with their pokeballs and pokemons.

While walking around buying stuff from the other booths I got stopped by this Syo from Utapri. At first I did not recognize him but I soon realized he was Zu (Fushimi from the day before). His brother was away somewhere else eating lunch.

Also bumped into Nodame who was Herley Quinn when we were heading back down to the exit.

At the entrance/exit they had this Mirai BMW.

On the way back to the mall we bumped into these Onimusha cosplayers. Apparently I met one of them at Animax Carnival.

Rin in cosplay. Why the heck is she such a bishie?

Kakeru as Kaito again.

Ruui as Gintoki from Gintama. He looks bishie as usual.

Kakeru and his partner as Agito/Akito.

Met with Angel again after a long time of not seeing her. She is finally in full cosplay as a female Kaito. She looks so pretty!

Finally the brothers unite! Damn them for looking so good!

After a while I went around shooting random people with my camera until it died.

There was this Miku racing ver. and her costume is so nice!

Kaichou wa Maid-sama!

After all that my camera finally died on me. I then loitered around for a while until Nat told me she lost her wallet when the event was ending. It was so stressful and we could not find it. After comforting her for a while we decided it was time to go home and Jeffrey got her some ice cream from McDonalds's drive-thru to cheer her up. (The next day Jeffrey got a message from a girl who picked up Nat's wallet and he returned it to her later that evening. Thank you to the girl who returned it!)

Here are the goodies I bought from the event. I love the Marilyn Monroe necklace!

I also made my first ever vlog of the event. I think I over-saturated the color corrector so it looks like there is a filter over the video. I do apologize for that since it was my first time editing a video and I am still not used to using Sony Vegas.

On the side note, I made another video the following week featuring Tim and Yin Yee from college.

This video makes me laugh all the time. I wonder why the video rendered the background noises so loud though.

Getting back to the event, I think that overall it was quite okay but not the best. I heard a lot about the bad politics that went on behind the scenes too. The venue itself was pretty bad because it was so cramped and the main part of the event was held on the highest floor which made absolutely no sense. Security was bad too because they were being rude from what I heard from other people. The management itself was a bitch from what my club kaichou from college told me. However, a lot of us did try to enjoy ourselves as much as possible which made it work out.

To end this post I will be posting pictures of me that other people took.

Thanks Forat for making us look damn creepy.

Thank you dear Alisa for these pictures!
